Fields of interest: Philosophy of language, philosophy of science.
I have been working on the philosophy of Hilary Putnam, and written a
dissertation on his conception of the referential use of language; my
advisors are Prof. Habermas (Frankfurt, Northwestern) and Prof. W.K.
Essler (Frankfurt). I expect to receive my degree by July 1999.
Otherwise I've been working on Natural Kind Terms, Goodman's paradox,
problems of underdetermination, the epistemic modalities etc. Other fields
of interest are political philosophy and the theories of film, cinema and
drama (which I've also written on).
I've been teaching at Northwestern as an Adjunct Lecturer and Visiting Scholar
since 1996/7 and I graduated with a Ph.D. in 1999. Currently I am a Visiting Assistant Professor at Northwestern University
If anybody plans to study for a certain term at Northwestern or in the Chicago
area, she or he is invited to contact me with any questions.
