Arlene McDaniel has been working as a jazz pianist in the Lansing area, and all around the state of Michigan for over 15 years. In addition to the private functions, she has been an active player on the club scene, appearing with various groups. She also teaches privately - jazz piano, as well as composing and arranging, and has a Bachelor of Music Degree from MSU. Gene Rebeck is a well known bassist, and has been an active performer as well as a retired orchestral director from the Lansing School District. Randy Gelespie is also well known for his drumming skills, in the state as well as nationally. He has recorded with numerous groups, all the while continuing to perform locally. The reedman Mike Sommerfeld is a lawyer practicing in the Ann Arbor area, but moonlights regularly on the jazz scene around the state.
